Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead -Adele
The blood was shed
It will never be the same
Feel the intruding lead
That hangs my head in pain
The drainage not on my hands
But flows down my back
It was only in the sands
Where you planned your attack
Executed without flaws
With no issue at hand
You dug deep with your claws
Into a faceless land
Your face full of lies
When you greet me at that place
I see through your disguise
And reject your embrace
The wound you try to heal
Is now a gaping maw
Your words can never conceal
The true colors I saw
So it was a rather quiet day at Uniqlo on 5th ave in NYC, and upon calling the following guest down to my cash register, I realized a familiar face. If you watch Parks & Rec show on NBC, you’d know Aziz Ansari. He was featured in a couple of comedy movies as well.
I was hoping he’d bust out a joke or something, but I think some of my coworkers were gawking and didn’t know what to say, or how to strike a conversation with him. My fellow colleague rang him up, and I was just bagging his items. So yea, Aziz is going to rock heat tech shirts! He also bought 2 oxford shirts and 3 pairs of socks. If I didn’t know any better, I sound like a stalker…Haha, but there was some people who are hardcore fans and decided to do “reprint receipts” just to keep his signature on hand. Now that’s devotion.
This track is on repeat for the day on my Itunes. Music to my ears :-)
Work has been keeping me busy the past month. How I miss you so Tumblr *smirks*
My Thanksgiving has been great. I’m thankful for family and friends…and the fact I don’t have to wear Depends! May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump, may your potatoes and gravy have a nary lump. May your yams be delicious, And your pies take the prize, and may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off your thighs! :-)
The pumpkin bread, baked pumpkin cheesecake, and pumpkin muffins with cream cheese that I baked was a hit. It’s family tradition for the past 10 yrs, I made the mashed potatoes. Nom Nom! I hope everyone had a HAPPY TURKEY DAY. Gobble Gobble!
This song has been on repeat in my Itunes today. Love it!
and the cracks began to show.
Thanks to Hurricane Irene all MTA transportation systems were shut down by noon on Saturday…so no way to get to work. Good thing my job called and said training was canceled. Well, there’s still 3 more weeks left of training at Uniqlo, so I won’t be missing out on much. I wonder when did they start making the training so intensive? It makes sense they want the best of the best, considering they want the 5th ave store to become the GLOBAL flagship store in the world. That and they’re probably weeding out the slackers. They’re looking to hire about 1,200 employees to staff both stores. Holy shit, is that a lot of people…Some employees were already saying 34th st will be the “reject” store…haha. We have to recite and KNOW our 6 standard phrases…I felt like we’re all going to be brainwashed by the end of training. We were split into 4 groups, and not only was my group ALL female, but the smallest group as well.
According to the store manager and 3 asst managers, we outshine the other 3 groups because we were the loudest, most cheerful, and in sync. (Yay! Girl power!) Our prize for winning? We had to stand in front of 200 other employees during the morning meeting, and lead everyone to reciting the phrases. Oh boy…Haha, if you have stage fright, I guarantee you by the end of that ordeal you will no longer be afraid of anything.
So back to Irene, I’m glad she’s gone! Luckily, no power outages or major flooding in my area. We just have fallen debris in our backyard and a tree fell across the street in the parking lot. Hope everyone else stayed safe and dry!
My splurge for the week! Haha, for those who know me…I’m <3 Hello Kitty. Totally going to rock these at work. Well done, Vans ;)
Remember your life, at that time when you’re unforgiving…
It has fed on my mind, and inside only you without light.
It’s our time, the future will be mine.
Forget the wounds, but all it is so good…
To call a halt, avoid hitting the wall.
To go back to roots, deeply in wood.
